Field Trips are one of the best tools we provide to every student. Whether it’s a trip to the local bank, grocery store, water park, a library, a museum, a theatre, a community garden or a restaurant or a fire station, each experience that a student participates in contributes to their understanding of the world.
They begin to see what they learn within the walls of the classroom and connect it to the world and solve the problems they see in the real world effectively. Access to environments and communities that are not available in school but are rich learning labs for students solidifies learning and academic concepts. A socio-emotional growth and positive academic impact is established as students become tolerant and empathetic towards cultures and themes. Concepts are presented through different media and modalities, and traditional learning. Students are able to connect with content better when they learn through experiences and the trip serves as a touchpoint for an entire unit learnt in school.
