Foundation Year Programme

(18 months to 2 years 5 months)

Pastoral Care and nurturing are the crux of our Foundations years Program. The emotional and social development is very crucial in every child’s early years therefore our class room engagements are specially chosen to provide our students plenty of stimulation at this age that will promote both cognitive as well social and emotional development.

Children get ample opportunity in enabling environments to interact with their peers and develop positive relationships and engage in creative play which helps them build their social, communication and sensory skills, and encourages a sense of curiosity about the world and a love for learning. The framework for our Foundation years program is curated with established facts and simple reasoning to raise happy children.

The materials in the classrooms are unfinished and unstructured so that the child can fill in their imagination and we have a daily rhythm of routine activities that modules around play and learning in seasonal themes. Indoor free play, clean up and meal times are conducted with awareness. Tales for storytelling are carefully chosen that are rooted in learning for this very young age. There is time to go wild in the free outdoor play time. Teachers may engage in practical and artistic activities that the children can readily imitate and connect with, washing laundry, painting, gardening.
